As a health and fitness coach, one of the main things people come to me about is wondering WHAT to eat, HOW MUCH to eat, what they CAN’T eat, etc…It’s the hardest thing for someone NEW to a healthy lifestyle. And I get it! That was me
Before getting into coaching full time, I was a tired mom, who put everyone before herself and didn’t know a LICK about healthy eating. I assumed healthy eating was 100 calorie packs and low fat, diet, anything! Little did I know that I didn’t have to restrict how much I was eating, or give up things I loved…I just had to find a way to make it work for me, in a household with others who didn’t worry about what they were eating. It also needed to be doable for our lifestyle.
I’m NOT a professional. I think that’s what I love most about coaching. Prior to this gig, I was an elementary teacher who struggled with anxiety…I have learned what works for ME and can share that journey with others, to hopefully inspire them to make a change as well! Along with that, I have CERTIFIED trainers, nutritionists and dietitians at my fingertips thanks to Beachbody On Demand.
A few years ago, a container system launched with our company that took OFF. It allowed people to see what portions they need to be consuming, and it could be modified depending on the person and the program they were doing. The ONE negative thing I heard about this is it was hard to do with their everyday life. What about dinners out? What about treat meals? What about cooking for a family of 6? etc…I get it! It’s hard. Things that change your life arent always easy. However, with 2B Mindset I believe that the ones who struggled with the containers, will have something that fits THEIR life!
2B Mindset is a nutrition based program that will be separate from Beachbody On Demand and available in video format. The videos will walk you through everything from “How to Get Started Losing Weight Now!” to “How to eat out at restaurants” and so on. The creator, and registered dietitian, Ilana Muhlstein is hosting a call for our entire team this month to share more on this and I will certainly share that info as I get it. This program does not have a start and end date. It’s really dependent on YOU and YOUR journey and what that looks like for you. She wants you to have the tools to move forward with this and take it with you forever. That’s my kind of girl 😉 I’ve always been a NO SCALE kind of girl…But she is PRO scale. Instead of looking at the scale as the end all be all for your results and happiness…She uses it as a TOOL to help measure what IS or ISN’T working. Love that. The program will focus on intentional eating and will be really helpful for those who struggle with emotional eating. Who struggles with emotional eating? RAISE YO HAND. (Hand up.) She also focuses on what you should eat FIRST, what to FILL UP on, and what to have after. Ilana will also never tell you that you CAN’T have something. It’s just about learning to eat less of that and more of something else.
I’m SO excited to bring this tool to my clients and to those who want to start with EATING. What you eat is 80% of your results. It matters. Now it’s time for you to learn the tools to get yourself to that confident place!
